Case registered against 15 people

Belthangady: Miscreants have completely destroyed the barbed wire that was laid in the presence of the Tahsildar and SDMC around the playground belonging Maladi government higher primary school and the act has been widely condemned. A case in this connection has been registered against 15 people at Punjalakatte police station. The accused are presently absconding.

Late in the evening around 7:30 pm a few youths presumed to be locals, switched off the street lights and completely removed the barbed wire laid around the playground. The caution board laid as per the notification of the Tahsildar was also removed an destroyed.

Barbed wire to be re-laid

The Tahsildar has informed that the barbed wire will be re-laid in his presence on Saturday.
