Malaysian citizen gets aadhar card in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: In a shocking incident, a Malaysian citizen was able to get an ‘Aadhar’ card from one of the centres here. There is suspicion that local officials and people’s representatives were hand in glove with the person concerned in getting him this card. This incident also has given reason to believe that a large number of such fake Aadhar cards could have been in circulation.

Hoh Jian Meng (25), who has come to pursue medical course in the city with study visa, has succeeded in getting an Aadhar card for himself. With this, this Malaysian citizen has been recognized as an Indian citizen now. This is no doubt an act of treason and the fact that this has happened in Dakshina Kannada where the level of public awareness and education is high, is shameful, many argue.
