Malpe: In anticipation of the rainy season, local authorities in Malpe have announced a temporary suspension of tourist boating activities in various areas, including the Malpe port, Malpe Beach, Sea Walk areas, and boat trips to the popular St. Mary’s Island.
The temporary suspension will be in effect from May 16 until September 15, a press release said. Furthermore, a ban on water adventure sports activities has also been implemented.
The decision has been made in accordance with the Karnataka Harbour Crafts Rules, aimed at ensuring the safety of both tourists.
The Municipal Commissioner and Secretary of the Malpe Development Committee have urged the public and tourists to cooperate with the precautionary measures.
