Malpe Beach Utsav on Feb 1,2

Udupi: The Malpe Beach Utsav will be held on February 1 and 2 informed Udupi district Deputy Commissioner G. Jagadeesh on Monday. The festival which was slated to be held between December 29-31 had been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.

Chairing a meeting here, the DC said various beach sports and cultural events have been organised to mark the Utsav.

In yet another meeting G Jagadeesha said the district administration is yet to decide on the date for the Kaup Light House Festival. Activities such as boat race, kite festival, beach yogasana, food fest, wine fest, street plays and cultural programmes will be organised during this festival.

The fest would also have an art camp, handicrafts stalls, and sports events including surfing and beach marathon.

Raghupati Bhat, MLA; Preeti Gehlot, CEO of Zilla Panchayat; and other departmental heads were present.
