Malpe: Fisherman goes missing after falling off boat

Malpe: A fisherman, accidentally fell into the water and has gone missing.

The missing person is identified as Nagaswamy, (44).

Nagaswamy worked on a boat called Jaimata in Malpe. After he finished his fishing work, he parked the boat at the dock, had dinner, and then went to sleep on the same boat. At around 10:45 PM that night, he fell into the water when he was trying to get out of the boat.

Two men named Babuji and Muragesha, who were also sleeping on the boat, woke up when they heard Nagaswamy fall into the water.

They tried to help him by throwing a rope from the boat into the water. Unfortunately, Nagaswamy couldn’t hold onto the rope and drowned. It is gathered that he had been drinking alcohol.

After learning about the incident expert water rescuer, named Ishwara Malpe, arrived and searched for Nagaswamy, however, they couldn’t find him.

Malpe Police have registered a case regarding this regard.
