Man accused of rape charges

Bengaluru: A man was arrested for sexually abusing and raping his ex-colleague at her residence in the city.

The accused has been identified as Mohammed Javed, a resident of Austin Town. 

As per the reports, the victim, who is originally from Mumbai used to work with the accused in a bar, which was shut down a couple of months ago. 

Javed had later joined a club in RT Nagar while the victim decided to leave the city. 

It has been reported that, on Friday, when the victim was packing her luggage, Javeed forced himself into her house and raped her. 

When she raised an alarm, he fled the house. 

She later informed her friends and lodged a complaint at the Ashok Nagar police station. She was admitted to the Bowring Hospital. 

The suspect was arrested within hours after the victim lodged the complaint.
