Puttur: The Puttur court has acquitted a man, who was facing trial for the attempted molestation of a woman in Mardala under Kadaba police station in the year 2015.
A case had been filed at Kadaba police station in December 2015 accusing Mohammad Shareef of entering a woman’s house, attempting to molest her in front of her children, and threatening to kill her.
Based on the complaint, police arrested Shareef and presented him in court. However, Shareef too filed a counter-complaint claiming he was falsely accused after a physical altercation with the woman’s relatives.
His lawyers successfully defended him, leading to his acquittal.
