Belthangadi police have arrested a man for allegedly attacking a woman at a tailoring shop in Ujire.

It is alleged that the accused identified as Navin Kanyadi knew the victim and they had financial dealings.

Navin reportedly arrived at the tailoring shop run by the victim and assaulted her. The act was caught on CCTV camera and the footage has gone viral.

The attack reportedly took place a couple of days ago but the woman did not report the matter.

She filed a police complaint after the visuals of the attack started circulating on social media. In her complaint, the woman accused Navin of cheating her of Rs. 7 lakhs borrowed from her. She alleged that he attacked her as she demanded the money be returned.
