Man arrested for sexual misbehavior in the metro

Bengaluru: Jayanagar police arrested 27-year-old Praveen Hegde on charges of sexual harassment after he allegedly flashed at a 30-year-old woman in a Metro train. The incident took place on Monday at around 5:15 pm, after which the woman complained to the police.
She alleged that the man stood behind her in the train and was pressing himself against her, taking advantage of the crowded train. He later unzipped his pants and was seen ejaculating. He was arrested by the police and subjected to medical examination.
Hegde is currently remanded in Central Prison and has been charged under IPC sections 294 (obscene acts), 354A (sexual harassment by physical contact) and 354D (stalking).
