Man assaults Asha worker in Bantwal, case registered

Bantwal: Punjalakatte police have registered a case against a man accused of assaulting an on-duty Asha worker at Chennaithodi of the taluk on Thursday July 9.
The victim, Mamatha Gatty was discharging her duties when the accused Kantappa Poojary assaulted her with a wooden log.
Gatty sustained serious injuries to her hands and head and was treated at community health centre of Vamadapadavu.
Based on complaint filed by medical officer Dr Umesh Adyanthaya, the police registered a case against Poojary.
