Man attempts to rape, locals set his shop on fire

Sulia: A roadside shop at Kudmar near Savanoor was gutted by locals after the shop owner allegedly tried to rape a fifth standard student.
The shop owner Abdullah, who lives with his two wives and has six children, allegedly attempted to rape a fifth standard student on Friday, February 14. When the locals got to know the news, they set his shop on fire on the same night.
Based on the complained filed by the student’s parents the Bellare police arrested Abdullah.
The police also arrested three others who were involved in the burning of the shop. They have been identified as Praveen, Pradeep and Sudhir, all residents of Bareppadi.
