Man behind Cong’s ‘PayCm’ and ‘40% sarkara’ campaigns likely to become CM advisor

Bengaluru: The poll strategist of the Congress party during the Karnataka assembly elections, is expected to be appointed as an advisor to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, according to a reliable source.
Sunil Kanugolu, had joined the Congress party last year and played a crucial role in the party’s impressive victory in the elections held on May 10, securing a thumping majority.
The 41-year-old, Sunil Kanugolu, former head of the BJP’s campaign organization, the Association of Brilliant Minds (ABM), and the current chief of political consultancy firm Inclusive Minds, also provided branding and speech inputs to Siddaramaiah during the Karnataka elections. The chief minister himself has reportedly requested Kanugolu’s appointment as his advisor.
Sunil Kanugolu is one among those credited with creating several of the Congress’ catchy campaigns including PayCm and 40% sarkara.
The Karnataka assembly election results were announced on May 13, with the Congress party securing a clear majority by winning 135 out of 224 seats.
