Man caught red handed while selling pistol

Bengaluru: The police nabbed a man who was selling a 7.65 mm pistol in Goraguntepalya today.
The accused has been identified as Bharath Singh who lived in Kudur of Magadi taluk. He is a carpenter by profession and hailed from Madhya Pradesh. On Thursday, Bharath was searching for a customer to sell the pistol and reached Goraguntepalya. The locals grew suspicious and informed the police. The police disguised as buyers and approached Bharath. He was caught red handed and taken into custody.
The police seized the pistol which Bharath confessed that it belonged to one of his relatives, Lokesh, in Madhya Pradesh. Bharath had earlier used the pistol for robbery and decided to sell it for a lump sum.
