Man dies after bike skid at Padubidri

Mangaluru: A rider lost his life after the bike he was riding towards Padubidri from Hejamady skidded. The rider tumbled to the road and lost his life on the night April 15. 

The deceased has been identified as Kariyappa Krishnappa Kalegar (35),a native of Belagavi, who was currently residing at Kanjarkatte near Padubidri. His daughter, Krishnaveni, who was in the pillion, got away with minor wounds. 

Krishnappa endured grievous wounds on his head. He was rushed to private hospital at Mukka but couldn’t survive and breathed his last on the way to the hospital.

Krishnappa’s wife and two daughters had left to go to the marriage of a relative at Belagavi. Krishnappa and Krishnaveni too were to leave for Belagavi on Tuesday. The man had taken his  daughter to Hejamady to purchase clothes for her. The accident took place when the two were returning back home.
