Man dies after falling from coconut tree

Vitla: A 48-year-old man died after falling from a coconut tree.

The deceased has been identified as Janardhana Naik, a resident of Peraje earned his living by plucking coconuts.

On January 15, he was working at a plantation in Netlamundur here when he accidentally slipped and fell from the tree. He sustained serious injuries and was admitted to a private hospital in the city.

He however passed away without responding to the treatment.
