Man files complaint against his wife pestering for money and jewellery

Bengaluru: In an incident which occurred in the city, a man has filed complaint against his wife and her parents for demanding valuables which are beyond his reach.
The man has blamed his wife and her father for pestering him for high amount of money. Dheeraj Reddy, a local of Andhra Pradesh, expressed in the complaint he recorded in Mahadevapura police station here that his wife had demanded to give her a gold girdle studded with diamond costing around Rs 30 lakh.
Both Dheeraj and wife, Jayashruti, are software engineers. In spite of the fact that they have good salary, Jayashruti, it is asserted, is lured with money and jewellery. It is said she has been pressurizing her husband to hand over his salary to her, as well as pestered him to purchase expensive jewellery for her. He says that he is also tortured by his wife in compatibility of this demand.
Dheeraj and Jayashruti got married in 2014. A year ago, Jayashruti is said to have demanded that Dheeral purchase a girdle worth Rs 30 lac for herself and threatened him of ending her life if this demand was not met. Dheeraj also said that she had demanded him to give jewellery worth Rs 40 lakh for her sister’s marriage. He asserts that he had taken up this issue with his in-laws, but they instead of advising their daughter, threatened him to transfer all his property to his wife’s name.
Frustrated by this, Dheeraj has filed a complaint against his wife and in-laws. The police are presently investigating this complaint.
