Man from Thirthahalli stranded in Afghanistan

Thirthahalli: A Jesuit priest from here is stranded in Afghanistan and now needs the help of the Government of India.

Robert Thirthahalli, a resident of the Doddamane Keri, graduated from Tunga College and later worked as a Catholic priest.

He went to Afghanistan for social service and was serving in Bamiyan, the capital of Bamiyan province in central Afghanistan.

Robert was ordained as a priest of the Jesuits four years ago. He served in a school in Bengaluru.

In a message to his family friend Robert has reportedly stated, “I’m in trouble here. Unable to reach Kabul Airport. God must help us.”
