Man hacks 65-year-old father to death in Puttur

Puttur: In a heart-wrenching incident a 65-year old man was hacked to death by his son on Wednesday, December 4 in Panaje village here.
The deceased has been identified as Krishna Naika (65) and the accused is Udaya Naika (28).
As per the sources, Krishna Naika and Udaya got into a verbal spat on Wednesday afternoon. In a fit of rage, Udaya is said to have hacked Krishna on the neck with a machete.
It is gathered that Udaya Naika was mentally unstable.
Following the incident, Puttur Rural Police reached the spot. A team of police led by Dy.SP Dinakar Shetty is investigating the case.
