Man hangs self after killing wife in UP’s Balrampur

A 52-year-old man on Saturday killed his wife following a dispute and then ended his life by hanging from a tree here, police said.

The deceased have been identified as Haneef and his wife Zubeda (50), they said.

Additional Superintendent of Police Namrata Srivastava said the couple had an argument over some issue and, in a fit of anger, Haneef strangled his wife using a rope. After this, he went outside the village, and ended his life by hanging from a tree, the ASP said.

A case has been registered on the complaint of the couple’s daughter, police said, adding that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
