Man held at Bengaluru airport with Rs 28.73 lakh gold in rectum

Bengaluru: A man attempting to smuggle gold paste worth over Rs 28.73 lakh was nabbed at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) on Saturday, December 30.
It is said that the man who arrived from Maldives hid 532.21 grams of gold paste in 3 oval packets in his rectum.
The market value of seized gold is around Rs 28,73,934.
On December 29, Customs officials seized 210.35 grams of gold hidden in underwear from a passenger who arrived from Dubai.
The market value of seized gold is around Rs 11,18,103.
