Man held for possessing liquor 16 lts of liquor at home

Bantwal: A man was detained for allegedly serving liquor at his residence on the occasion of his niece’s engagement.
The accused has been identified as Steven D’Silva from Ira here.
It has been reported that, D’Silva had invited over 600 guests for his niece’s engagement ceremony and had stocked liquor at his residence for this purpose.
Based on tip off, the excise officials, raided the house and found that 16 litres of liquor and beer was found which is beyond the permissible as per the code of conduct.
