Man kept under institutional quarantine commits suicide

Moodabidri: A man who was kept under institutional quarantine committed suicide on Thursday, May 21.

The deceased is a resident of Kadandale and was working in a hotel in Mumbai. He arrived with two of his two brothers on the night of Wednesday, May 20, and was quarantined in the school.

He committed suicide by hanging himself. He was tensed about his future and this may be the reason for his suicide, informed sources.

The deceased is survived by a wife and three daughters.

Sub-Divisional Officer Madan Mohan C visited the school. Others who are in quarantine in the school will be relocated it was reported.
