Man killed in accident, robbed

Kalaburgi: In a shocking incident, a man who died in a road accident was robbed by a passerby on Monday, December 24 in Kalaburagi.

The deceased has been identified as Akshay Nagaral (24), a resident of SR Colony in Vijayapura city.

The incident took place when Akshay was jogging, a speeding car hit him from behind killing him on the spot. The car also hit one more man who was beside Akshay. The injured man is identified as Revanasiddappa(32), a lecturer in Bhumareddy College in Yadgir district.

After the duo was hit by the car, an unidentified person claiming to be Akshay’s brother took out his mobile phone and money from his pocket and disappeared before the police arrived on the spot, informed sources.
