Bengaluru: Police arrested a man for allegedly killing his roommate using a water heater coil after a dispute over a room key. The incident occurred in Srinivasanagar under Chennammanakere Achukattu police limits.
The accused, Nagraj (36), and the victim, Srinivas (45), both hail from T. Narasipura. They had moved to Bengaluru for masonry work and shared a rented room.
Srinivas, who had separated from his wife, allegedly irritated Nagraj by frequently taking his mobile and not handing over the room key.
On December 26, a heated argument between the two escalated. In a fit of rage, Nagraj allegedly attacked Srinivas with a water heater coil. Srinivas later succumbed to his injuries that night.
The following day, Nagraj discovered that Srinivas had died and fled the scene but was apprehended by the police the next day.
A case has been registered, and investigations are ongoing.
