Hyderabad: A 32-year-old man allegedly killed five members of his family before committing suicide in Telangana’s Khammam district, police said today.

The man, S Saleem, allegedly pushed his parents, wife and two children, both aged below 10, into a canal and later himself jumped into the water in Jillacheruvu village last night, a senior police official said.

“As per preliminary investigation, Saleem killed his family members and later committed suicide apparently over some family dispute,” Khammam’s Commissioner of Police Tafseer Iqbal told PTI over phone.

A suicide note purportedly written by Saleem, in which he referred to some family dispute, was found in his house, the police commissioner said.

The suicide note has been sent to a forensic science laboratory for verification, he said, adding all the six bodies have been retrieved and sent for postmortem.
