Man murders wife for watching videos on mobile

Mumbai: In a rather shocking incident a 32-year-old man strangled his wife to death after he found her watching videos on her mobile late in the night. The accused, Chetan Chougule, a resident of Mulund surrendered to the police later.

Chougule in his confession said that on the night of the incident he and his wife Arti (22), had fought over some financial issue after which he went to bed. Meanwhile, he told Arti to stop watching videos on the mobile as it was disturbing his sleep. However when he woke up around 4 am in the morning he found that Arti was still watching videos and in a fit ot rage he strangled her. The couple two-year-old son was also sleeping in the same room.

Later upon realising what he had done Chougule surrendered to the police.

A police official said that Chougule was unemployed and the couple would often have fights over money issues.
