Man pushes cop into drain, consumes glass pieces to evade arrest

A 22-year-old man reportedly pushed a policeman into a drain and consumed glass pieces of the bike’s mirror after breaking it in order to evade arrest.

The incident took place at Vinobnagar in the city on Wednesday.

The man, Roopesh, who happens to be accused in four cases including robbery. Irked by his non-appearance before the court for the case hearing, an arrest warrant was issued against him.

On Wednesday, police got a tip-off and rushed to Shubha Mangala convention hall to nab Roopesh.

He however pushed police into the drain and fearing arrest consumed glass pieces of the bike’s mirror after breaking it. Local people took both of them were taken to the hospital.

Vinobnagar police registered one more case against him.
