Man shot dead, friend injured in New Usmanpur

New Delhi:  A 35-year-old man was shot dead and another injured when unidentified men opened fire on them in northeast Delhi’s New Usmanpur this evening, police said.

Wazid, who had a criminal record, died after being hit by a bullet and his friend Faiz, 29, was undergoing treatment at a hospital. Faiz’s condition is stated to be critical, they added.

The incident happened at around 9:30pm. Police suspect personal enmity behind the attack.
