Kasaragod: A youth managed to survive a murderous assault by a four-member gang by hiding in a mosque at Seethangoli on Monday afternoon, June 25th. The injured survivor has been identified as Arif (31) from Mugu village and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.
According to sources, four persons armed with weapons barged into the SBT aluminum fabrication shop, being run by Arif and stabbed him with a knife. Somehow, Arif managed to escape from his assaulters, outrun them and hid at a mosque in the neighbourhood.
It is suspected that an old rivalry may be the reason behind this deadly assault and Kumble police have registered a case in this regard.
