A man from Agra tied his father’s body to the car’s roof and drove to the crematorium after failing to find an ambulance. He performed the last rites after a few hours.
This incident left many people in tears at the cremation ground.
Agra has seen a surge in COVID-19 cases and a collapsing infrastructure, with the city reporting more than 600 daily cases.
People wait for nearly six hours to carry the bodies of COVID-19 victims to the cremation ground.
Reports state that private hospitals in Agra are not admitting patients and the critical patients from Firozabad and Mathura are sent to Agra.
