Bengaluru: Tejraj Sharma, the man who stabbed Lokayukta Vishwanatha Shetty, suffers from ‘BJP mindset’, said AICC general secretary B K Hariprasad.
Hariprasad, a Rajya Sabha member, told reporters that Tejraj Sharma’s mindset was like the BJP’s. “We should not the BJP’s mindset come to Karnataka,” he said.
“The chief minister is a backward classes leader from a remote village, which the BJP cannot tolerate. That’s why they try to make fun of his name,” added Hariprasad, taunting Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his ‘Seedha Rupaiya‘ remark against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
The Congress leader said that all BJP leaders were Nathuram Godse’s “offsprings”. He challenged Amith Shah for an “open-debate” on the Gujarat model of development versus the Karnataka model of development. He claimed that the Congress-ruled Karnataka is “a minimum 100 years ahead” of states ruled by BJP.
Defending the induction of businessman Ashok Kheny and illegal mining scam accused Anand Singh into the Congress, he said, “Leadership positions have not been given to them. Also, the corruption charges against them are pending in the court”.
He dismissed BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa’s demand for Governor’s rule in Karnataka. “Everyone knows the bad state of law and order when Yedyurappa was the chief minister”, he argued.
