Bengaluru: Minister for School Education and Literacy B.C. Nagesh in a circular directed all the school and pre-university colleges across the state to mandate 10 minutes of meditation for students.
Nagesh’s decision came after the President of the State Primary School Teachers Association requested the minister to allow students to meditate at school and colleges.
The education minister said that it is necessary to make students meditate every day to reduce physical and mental stress, and improve concentration.
