Mandya: Entry to the world-famous Brindavan Gardens at the Krishnarajasagara Dam here has been reopened from September 16 with free entry for all visitors.
The gardens were closed for 6 months due to the COVID-19-induced lockdown.
Kaveri Niravari Nigama Limited officials stated that all precautionary arrangements have been made for all visitors such as thermal screening and maintenance of distance.
An agency has also been appointed to sanitize visitors before entry into the gardens, officials added.
Many shops near the gardens were also open on the first day.
The gardens will also resume the boating facility in the reservoir. The water fountains and fountains will also be functional for the tourists. However, boating was stopped in the afternoon after 6,000 cusecs of water were released into the Kaveri river from the dam.
