Mandya: Man murdered over illicit relationship with friend’s wife

Mandya: A 23-year-old man was brutally murdered by his friend in the Mandya district on Sunday night for allegedly having an illicit relationship with his wife.

The incident took place at Chinakurali village in Pandavapura taluk of Mandya district. The deceased has been identified as Arvind (23), a resident of Tirumalapura village in Nagamangala.

He was staying with his friends in a rented house owned by one Kumar of Chinakuruli village. On Sunday night, he and his friends had gone to sleep after consuming liquor.

During the night Vijay and Ezhumalai hit Aravind with a hammer and killed him. Both the accused are from Arvind’s native village Tirumalapura. They have been arrested.

Vijay reportedly confessed to the police that the crime occurred because his wife and the victim were involved in an illicit relationship.

Pandavapura police visited the spot and started an inquest.
