Mangaluru: Mangaluru South police on Monday registered a suo-motu case against the administrator of ‘Mangalore Muslims’ facebook page for an offensive post on the deceased union minister Ananth Kumar.

In the post, the admin urged people not to mourn the death of the ‘communal’ leader and sought to justify the same by holding him and Advani responsible for the communal riots witnessed at the time of Babri Masjid demolition which resulted in the deaths of several Muslims.

‘Don’t be born again to destroy the nation,’ read the post which has been criticized by many on social media.

A case stands registered under section /s 505(1) & (2) and it is gathered that action would be initiated against ‘Mangalore Muslims’ Facebook page as per IT Act rules also.
