Mangalore Univ VC inaugurates two-day district youth parliament

Mangaluru: A two-day district youth parliament jointly organised by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, United Nations Development Programme and Nehru Yuva Kendra was inaugurated by Vice-chancellor of Mangalore University Dr P S Yadapadithaya on Tuesday, July 16 at Zilla Panchayat office here.
In his inaugural address, Dr P S Yadapadithaya stressed on few C’s namely courage, confidence, conviction, co-operation, coordination, collaboration, commitment, conscience and consultation – which play major role in shaping a youths personality.
“Purpose and pride will make you a great parliamentarian,” he said.
Addressing the youths Zilla panchayat CEO Dr R Selvamani said that youths must be aware of Parliament, Constitution, and other fundamental rights. “Parliament is the ultimate forum where you can raise voice and seek solutions for problems.”
