Mangalore University emerges victorious in all India inter-university men’s Kabaddi tournament

In a historic achievement at the All India Inter University Men’s Kabaddi Tournament hosted by Mangalore University’s Department of Physical Education, the home team secured a remarkable victory in the final match. This marked the first time in 33 years that Mangalore V.V. emerged as finalists in the prestigious tournament.
In a thrilling final showdown, Mangalore University faced off against the Vels Institute of Science and Technology team from Chennai. The Mangalore team dominated the match from the outset, securing an impressive victory with a final score of 47-15.
The road to the finals saw Mangalore University overcome tough competition in the semi-finals against Chowdhury Bansilal University from Haryana. In a high-scoring encounter, the Mangalore University team triumphed over Chowdhury Bansilal with a scoreline of 49-35 points, securing their spot in the much-anticipated final.
