Mangalore University hikes salaries of guest lecturers

Mangaluru: The salaries of guest lecturers working in colleges and post-graduate centers of Mangalore University have been hiked.

AS per the revised structure, a guest lecturer with a UGC qualification will get Rs 40,000 per month, whereas others will get Rs 35,000 per month as salaries.  With effect from February 2022, the lecturers will enjoy an average salary increase of Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000.

Mangalore University Guest Lecturers’ Association welcomed the decision to hike salaries. “This is an important and welcome decision of Mangalore University,” it said in a statement.
