Mangaluru: The Mangaluru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) is planning to build parks at vacant public spaces in the city. In the first phase, 15 parks will be built.
Presently, most of the parks or green areas in the city are being occupied or used for other purposes.
MLA Vedvyas Kamath submitted a proposal regarding this to MUDA.
MUDA president Ravi Shankar Mijaru considered the proposal and decided to implement it.
The project will include building Miyawaki parks in vacant plots of less than 5 cents in the city.
MUDA is planning to build one park for four wards in the city, covering all 60 wards of the city in the first phase.
