Mangaluru: 17 buffaloes killed after being hit by train

Mangaluru: In a tragic incident, 17 buffaloes lost their lives after accidentally falling beneath a goods train.
The incident occurred near Angaragundi at Jokatte here at approximately midnight when the train, en route from Kankanady to MCF, passed through the area.
According to reports, several buffaloes inadvertently slipped and fell to a depth of about 25 feet, resulting in fatal injuries.
Personnel of the Kadri fire station, who swiftly arrived at the scene, rescued 3 buffaloes in a challenging rescue operation that lasted for three hours.
