Mangaluru: 2 detained in Bajpe test COVID-19 positive

Mangaluru: Two people who were detained at Bajpe police station on Tuesday, June 30 have tested positive for COVID-19.
The two, a 34-year-old and 26-year-old residents of Bajpe, were detained by the police for allegedly attempting to steal cattle.
They were taken to the physician for the test. Their report which came out on Wednesday, July 1 confirmed COVID-19.
Eight police officials’ samples who had detained the duo have been sent to Wenlock hospital for testing.
The Bajpe police station has been sealed off as a precautionary measure.
