Mangaluru: 2 youths arrested for motorbike theft

Mangaluru: Two youths were arrested on March 28 for motorbike theft, police said on Wednesday.

The arrested have been identified as Farish Sharma alias Gillu (19) and Dhanush (20), both residents of  Chitradurga.

Police said that the accused persons, who were riding motorbikes, were stopped near Mallikatte as they were behaving suspiciously. On checking it was found that the bikes, they were riding on, were reported to be stolen in Mangaluru.

Both bikes, estimated to be worth Rs 85,000, have been seized by the police.

A case has been registered at the Mangaluru East traffic police station in this regard.

According to the police, a case of bike theft was registered in 2022 at Chitrdurga’s Extention police station.
