Mangaluru: 2 youths killed in road accident

Mangaluru: Two persons were killed on the spot in a road accident near K C Road here on Friday, October 15 night.

The deceased identified as Krishnaprasad (26) and Prajith (24), both residents of Kumble were on their way home after witnessing the Mangaluru Dasara celebrations.

The duo was helmetless and resultantly sustained serious head injuries in the mishap. It is not yet known if the mishap took place after the bike skid on the road here or if the bike brushed against a car and then went on to collide against the bridge railings.

Police are trying to ascertain the exact cause of the mishap. Meanwhile, police also clarified that a car driver, who locals accused of causing the accident was not involved in the accident.
