Mangaluru: Autorickshaw driver arrested for selling MDMA

Mangaluru Central Crime Branch (CCB) Police arrested an individual on January 18 on the accusation of illegal sale of MDMA in an auto-rickshaw.
Acting on a tip-off, the police raided the location near Coelho Lane, SL Mathias Road, Falnir in the city, where the accused was reportedly targeting college students and the general public.
The arrested individual has been identified as Tauseef, also known as Tauchi (23), a resident of Bajal in Mangaluru.
Police seized 9 grams of MDMA with an estimated value of Rs 45,000, a mobile phone valued at Rs 10,000, a digital weighing scale, and an auto-rickshaw worth Rs 1,00,000. The overall value of the seized assets is estimated to be Rs 1,55,000, police said.
