Mangaluru: A 27-year-old woman lost her life in a road accident at Nantoor on Sunday afternoon.
The victim has been identified as Christy Crasta, a resident of Kodikal.
Christy, who worked at a private hospital in Kankanady, was reportedly on her way to work on a two-wheeler when the tragic incident took place. Her scooter is said to have skidded, causing her to fall onto the road. At the same time, a fish-laden truck headed towards Kerala ran over her, with its rear wheel fatally injuring her head.
She died on the spot.
Christy is survived by her father, mother, and brother. The Kadri Traffic Police have registered a case.
