Mangaluru: 456 screened; no COVID-19 positive till date

Mangaluru: In a statement deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district has stated that about 456 people in Mangaluru have been screened for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and all have tested negative for the virus.

The statement further states that 241 are in home quarantine and 7 are under observation. Everybody must adhere to the guidelines issued by the government.

All Yakshagana performances too stand cancelled, the statement adds.

People arriving from overseas must compulsorily quarantine at home for 14 days.

All taluk officials and staff have been trained for awareness and they have visited 2047 houses to share information regarding COVID-19, the statement read.
