Mangaluru: 77-yo man killed after fishing boat capsize at Adyar Katte

Ullal: A 77-year-old man was killed after the boat he was fishing in capsized in Nethravathi river at Adyar Katte near Harekala on Sunday, October 30.

The deceased has been identified as Robert Ferrao, a resident of Adyar. The incident took place while he had gone fishing alone on a small boat owned by him.

Reportedly, the boat came under a strong current and capsized.

Following the incident group of labourers immediately rescued him and took him to the hospital. However, Robert died after he stopped to respond to treatment.
