Mangaluru: 8 absconding accused arrested

Mangaluru police have arrested 8 accused against whom several arrest warrants were pending.
The arrested include Raja alias Japan Manga alias Rohan Reddy (36) resident of Kavur Kunjattabail, Prakash Shetty resident of Padil-Kannur, Nissar Hussain of Krishnapur, and Kabir of Kasba Bengre.
The accused were apprehended from various locations and were absconding in various criminal cases, Mangaluru Police Commissioner Kuldeep Kumar R Jain said.
Raja alias Japan Manga alias Rohan Reddy was arrested from Bengaluru, where he had been living under a false identity. He was wanted in connection with a murder case, a robbery case, and an attempted murder case, among others. He had also obtained a fake Aadhaar card to evade the law, police said.
Prakash Shetty, on the other hand, has been involved in numerous criminal cases in Barke and Kankanadi police stations of Mangaluru. Nissar Hussain of Krishnapur and Kabir alias Abdul Kabir alias Kabbi, had non-bailable warrants issued against them in multiple cases, Jain said.
Achyuta and Rizwan, who had cases registered in Kavoor police station, were the two other accused who were arrested, Jain added.
