Mangaluru: Adyar gram panchayat member Yakub hacked to death

Mangaluru: A BJP supporter and member of Adyar gram panchayat (GP) was attacked on the evening of Friday, July 10.

The deceased is identified as Yakub.

As per sources, on Friday evening, miscreants attacked Yakub and fled the spot. Though he was rushed to a private hospital in the city he succumbed to his injuries there.

It is gathered that his killing may be related to personal or political rivalry.

Local police have registered the case in this regard and investigation is on.
