Mangaluru: Alleging state govt’s COVID mismanagement, Cong stage protests

Mangaluru: The District Congress leaders on Thursday, July 23 staged a protest in front of the district Wenlock Hospital here on Thursday, July 23, against the state government for failing to control the spread of COVID in the Karnataka.
During the protest, Congress leaders including MLA UT Khader, former minister Ramanath Rai, Former MLA Ivan D’Souza, accused the district administration of sending poor patients to private hospitals instead of treating them at designated COVID hospital in the district.
Congress leaders also alleged that over 60 COVID patients died due to lack of treatment in the district and no proper arrangement has been to arrange a respectable funeral for the deceased.
